Adoption Grant FAQ

“How will I afford it?” is one of the most common questions we receive about adoption.  One of our responsibilities is to help connect our families to the resources available to help adoptive families.  Whether it’s interest free loans, company adoption reimbursements, or information about the tax credit, we’re here to help!  We also offer an adoption grant to our families.  Here are a few of the frequently asked questions we receive.

What kind of grant is the Traders Point Christian Church (TPCC) adoption fund grant?

We partner with Lifesong for Orphans to give families a matching grant for all donations received to LFO.

How does a matching grant work?

For all donations received through LFO, TPCC will give a gift, dollar for dollar. When the grant money is ready to be used, adoptive parents will work with LFO to send monies to specified location (can be reimbursed under terms) and applied to adoptive costs using a simple form submitted to LFO.

What is the application process like?

The application process is much like many other adoption grants and involves providing basic information, adoption costs, statement of personal finances and statement of faith. Once the application is received, families should receive word within 2 months of submission.

Who may apply?

All adoptive families who are either members of TPCC or have attended for 12 consecutive months.

Is there a specific type of adoption necessary?

No, all adoptions, both international.
